Zarellin had asked Lucid about his past life several times, and now Lucid finally decided to let him go meet his son. Lucid was plotting alone, though, to get Ospreysoar to join the 'dark side'. They shuffled into the camp, careful not to wake anybody. Then, they reached Osprey's den. Zarrelin's eyes lit up, and he gently prodded his son. "Osprey, wake up!"

RunningKit was behind the nursery practicing his fitting skills. At that moment he was chasing after a leaf that had just blown of the tree. On caching it and ripping it apart he let out a sad sigh.......... " I wish i was an apprentice, Ivorypaw and Palmpaw have such fun!" He jumped up and started to stalk a butterfly. He jumped........... and missed! " I would be the best apprentice BloodClan has ever had!!!!" |

The little kit with wide, wide scared eyes sat just inside of the Medicine Cat's Den, hunched over and shivering, sitting exactly where Mum had told him to and waiting for exactly who Mum had told him to. She couldn't keep him, she'd said. She wasn't supposed to have kits, she said. Or that's what she would've said. But she never talked. He could understand what she meant, though. He sat huddled and stared into the den, inside the warm part of the den.
The night was very chilly. Very chilly. He didn't like the cold. But maybe it was good to sit here and wait in the cold. He'd learn to like the cold. He waited. And waited. The moon shone on his fur, turning him a ghostly white, but really he was a mottled chocolate brown color. With black flecks. And his owl-like yellow eyes glowed silver in the light, too. He always looked different in the night. He waited more. |
