The internet had to be upgraded to be upgraded to a quicker one. We FINALLY got me a new laptop. Life happened (I have to do volunteer work on the weekends). School happened (it is the WORST semester YET), and I am behind. The mode-dim (sp) died and had to be replaced; now the internet is slower than it was on my old comp. BTW, I lost much of the stuff I had on my old comp, and I've not been able to continue with any of my sites or emails for quite sometime; much to my dismay. 10/22/09 – 03:35AM - 03:49AM -- 80 messages, one checked, 79 left . . . I miss you all SO much! I am sorry I do not have time to do much of anything anymore. I am in my worst semester (for the entire duration of my associates degree!), and I've got midterms. Last updated: 12/18/09 – 02:15AM and I honestly think that there is no way I can keep up with this site, get through my college semesters, and do volunteer work etc. ... However, I would delight in dropping in every once in a while to have a look about and update my log and say hello (if I can remember my password and have a second of free time), and if you wish to contact me, MY EMAIL IS: [Erased in case weirdos should get on this site] (you can always ask me for it!). I WILL answer it within a week or two, if not less. I'm on as often as I can, which may be a couple of times a week, only once or twice a month, or FAR too rarely, except between semesters. My straight A record is permanently tarnished! I got an A in only one class because the work was so sucky this semester! ~wheep~ It really was the teachers. I mean, really. One was a F'n lunatic with a bias (I'm being nice), another was ridiculously strict to the point that completing the assignments was near to impossible even for my brother, mother, and I; and the last overdid most everything and liked playing the devil's advocate. The forth teacher was the only reasonable, sane, fun, and sensible one of the lot. At least I got an A in his class. Grrr.
I moved down from the honor roll list (straight A's) to the thing bellow that (not straight A's but /really/ close - 3 A's and a high B) to not being on /any/ of the lists! I feel like a mutt! (No offense to anyone who does not get straight A's) It hurts because a lot of work went into these classes, and despite everything, I am forced to walk away with my tail firmly tucked.

Same here! The screen loaded and I instantly felt like I had been walking under a low ceiling and forgot to bend down!
I put orange because I like it, and because it was supposed to be part Halloween themed, which is when I made it; aaaaand since I am always a Halloween type kinda person, what they hay! I put the purple because it works, provides contrast, and is reasonable on the eyes, and easy enough to read in consideration of the other colors. It is also a "cool" (the chill kind) shade that, along with the silvery blue gray, hints at coming winter.
The greens indicate nature and spring, the lighter tinted red indicate spring flowers and fall leaves, the darker tinted red indicates bloody warmth and deepness. Then I have a deeper blue gray and a silvery blue gray that lean toward winter and the element of wind. The dark blue background represents the deep of the sea and the dark of the night. It all flows together, blends, and works off one another, but the orange brings a sharp point to it that diminishes the lull.
Can you imagine how light and sleepy my colors would be, being dark, gentle, and cool, if the orange was not there? It is something to grab your eye and keep it. Since you noticed it so well, it clearly worked. Also, all of the colors together, with the extreme of warmth and coolness, hint at summer in their own way, but elude away from it. Overall, it brings a homey feel that is easy one the eyes, reminiscent of the seasons and elements, and kindred to the feel of vacation, which I was dreaming of when I made it since I was still in bloody school.
